Our first Annual "Art on the Spectrum" Gala & Sensory
Experience aims to showcase the artistic talent of 17
students on the Autism Spectrum who have worked tirelessly
to complete a 5- week workshop led by local oil painter
SYDNEY HALL. This workshop was held at the SLO Art Museum
(SLOMA) and highlights the students ability rather than
disability. Black Market Trio will be performing music live at this
fine event.
As a cooperative effort between the the Central Coast Autism
Spectrum Center (CCASC), the SLOMA, and Catlayst Consulting
a portion of the proceeds generated from Art and ticket
sales will be contributing to the SLO Art Musuems Capital
Campaign for a new building as well as for CCASC to fund
additional programming, events, & awareness for those on
the Spectrum. Tickets can be purchased as an in kind
donation to the event and efforts.
This event will kick off the Annual WALK for Autism &
Awareness Fair May 7th in the Mission Plaza.
