Don't miss this powerfully fun groove from Black Market Trio - with local all-stars Scott Andrews leading the trio on vocals, keys, saxes, and hand percussion, James Gallardo on bass and backup vocals, and Darrell Voss on Drums & percussion. Oct 19, 1:00PM - 4:00PM Black Market Trio Live at the Villa at Villa San Juliette winery in San Miguel, CA. This is our first time at Villa in a few years and we're thrilled to be back for a special Harvest Festival show! 

Oct 20, 5:30PM - 8:30PM Black Market Trio At Robin's Jazz at Sunset in Cambria. We perform for this exciting jazz series for the first time ever! Come support Robin's for supporting live jazz in Cambria - we really look forward to performing in their jazz garden!

We've added new shows for the Summer Season! 

We kicked off the party last Friday at Avila Beach Mr. Rick's / Custom House Farmer's Market Beach Party and it was so fun we continued into the weekend for Cinco de Mayo at Pomar Junction. We braved a few rain drops and the food from Shav N Flav was magnificent. The wine, of course, is delightful out there and we hope to return soon. So, what's up this weekend, you ask? MORE FUN! Of course!

We start at The Cliff's for their 50's Ice Cream Social (I'm sure booze might be involved, too, heheh... ) at Marisol. We'll be inside performing and it promises to be an amazing oceanside day from 4:00PM - 7:00PM Thursday, May 9, 2019. 

We've even got Scott cue'd up to do a few fun 50's rockin' numbers for you, including Bossa Nova Baby, Little Less Conversation, and Hound Dog!

Maybe we'll sneak some 60's tunes in as well, such as Can't Take My Eyes Off You... the rest will be our usual mayhem of Cuban, Bossa, Boogaloo, Swing, Fun! We might sneak in some of our Kid Creole set just for fun, as well!

Saturday, May 25, 12 - 3PM - bringing back the special show with the QUINTET at DOLPHIN BAY RESORT!

Our last beach party was so successful we're doing it again! The Black Market Quintet, also known as Scott Andrews and the "Problem Solvers" (inside joke) includes Scott on vocal, saxes, bongos, timbales, hand percussion, and keyboard; Talia Ortega, vocal, alto sax, flute; Shawn Collins, Vibraphone; James Gallardo, Acoustic & Electric Bass; and Darrell Voss on drums, bongos, and congas. This particular lineup brings so much fun you don't want to miss it. We cover "Havana Nights" with songs like Havana, Bang Bang, Oye Como Va, Dos Gardenias, and many more Cuban, Brazilian, favorites. We also play some fun New Orleans numbers, like I Had a Good Night and Get It In by the Brassaholics, and other standards like Darktown Strutters Ball. Last, we've added a set of Kid Creole & The Coconuts tunes to let the party good times roll.  

For this event, you will LOVE where we're playing, at the elegant Dolphin Bay Resort... on the cliff patio we'll have wine and most likely yummy hors d'oervres.  

You just can't beat it. We play from Noon to 3PM, so wear your sunscreen and sunglasses and come prepared to dance!

Apple Farm, Black Market Trio, and the Downtown Centre Cinemas present a special reception and screening of the feature film, Destination Wedding. Come and party with us as we celebrate this fun movie that was filmed right here at the Apple Farm and other parts of San Luis Obispo County. Your ticket includes the screening of the film at the Downtown Center Cinemas and a pre-reception with wine tasting, a special dessert trio from the Apple Farm Bakery, a small popcorn per guest and entry into a raffle to win a one night stay in the Millhouse Suite featured in the film! After an incredible VIP party for the SLO IFF we took a short break.

We've been back and stronger than ever since Summer started.

We're performing a number of shows this Summer - more being added daily! DOAU WINERY sports majestic views of the mountains and Paso Robles Valley.

First, we played a couple of PRIVATE PARTIES the past couple of weeks, including the party for French Hospital's big fundraising kick-off party at DAOU WINERY, followed by a special party for the sommolier's taking a workshop at DAOU WINERY. Both shows were a big hit! 

We'll be performing tomorrow, June 15 at THE VILLAGES in San Luis Obispo. We love performing for seniors, so that should be fun! That show is at 3PM.

We've added a number of additional shows, including Latin Fever at Cottonwood Canyon Winery on June 29. We also have a birthday party, wedding, and some exciting news is coming soon! We can't announce what is coming just yet, but you may have noticed we've added movies to our list of events.

We celebrate Biddle Ranch Winery's Anniversary today! Come join the fun! 

We're celebrating Biddle Ranch Winery's 1 year at our new location with live music by Black Market Trio, food, and of course, wine! Stop by our tasting room for a BBQ with the Biddle Ranch partners and their families. We will be offering our Sparkling by the glass (cheers-ing encouraged) and Black Market Trio will be providing the music!

We celebrated in style and sent Paul off to the military in good fashion (notice Paul's SLO Jazz Fest Sweatshirt?) and also celebrated Paul's birthday.

Tonight, another of the Lynes gang returns from the Middle East and we'll welcome him back with Tri-Tip, Lompoc style, and other potluck, tequila, and cerveza. Yes, it will be a fun night!

Later in the month, we're going to open for the Symphony's special show August 20 at Vina Robles. While the Symphony starts at 7PM, we'll warm you up from 5:30PM - 7PM on the special club apron, and possibly between sets, as well.

We return to Court Street, one of our favorite venues, on August 26:

We'll be performing by the elevator across from Sephora and Pottery Barn. Take in a little shopping, get a pizza slice or two from Guiseppe's, coffee from Peet's, candy from the shop downstairs, and your hot Latin Licks with Black Market Trio! 

Maybe we'll even get a little Babalu in the action! LOL... 

As you know, Edna Valley is quite spectacular.

Make sure to bring your friends out to these and more shows this month - we'll probably be adding a LEO BIRTHDAY BASH as well as soon as Scott figures out a suitable venue. Cheers - and Happy Fire Sign August month!  

We will perform our famous music from "Around the World" with Latin Jazz, some "speakeasy jazz" and more to get ready for Daou Winery's fabulous 007 10 year anniversary. This pick-up party will be a sneak preview to the special event in August - don't miss it! June 27, 5PM - 7PM.

This Friday - Black Market Trio returns to Costa de Oro for a fun evening of MAMBO! Of course, we'll also play Latin Jazz, some boogaloo, New Orleans music, and funk to get everyone dancing before the night is done. CDO is always a great place to drink wine, the food is yummy, and some of our favorite people often attend.

Saturday we're playing a birthday party for one of our fans in Lompoc. Remember we are available for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, heck, even divorces! I'm sure we could do the jazz funeral if you needed it -- and break loose into 2nd line for a jazz celebration of life. We're pretty flexible. We also do Mardi Gras parties, "Speakeasy" or "Crime Jazz" shows, and "Havana nights" types of parties. 

We've added more shows to our calendar, but of course have room for more. We have several new shows for the month of June. After blazing a trail through Kelsey See Canyon last weekend, we're thrilled to be at TapIt Brewery this coming Friday, June 2nd, for Mambo Friday at TapIt - bring a group of friends!

Tonight! Join the fun from 5:30P - 8:30P at TapIt Brewery - Black Market Trio is breaking out some new New Orleans music! Fun & funky! Plus, our regular hit Mambo, Boogaloo, Latin Jazz, and other fun music - bring a group of friends!

Then SATURDAY, June 3rd, Black Market Trio plays the classic and timeless Merrimaker for a late night show. This is a chance to let the air out as we'll start jazzy but break into funky boogaloo and funk numbers as the night carries on. We'll aim to get your dancing as much as possible, so after your dinner, when you're saying "where is there something fun with great music tonight?" you'll know where to go! The Merrimaker in Los Osos!

That's not all - we also have a show scheduled on June 11th at Lefondusac Winery. Our last show there on Mother's Day was a total blast, so don't miss this Sunday afternoon special.

Our first Annual "Art on the Spectrum" Gala & Sensory 
Experience aims to showcase the artistic talent of 17 
students on the Autism Spectrum who have worked tirelessly 
to complete a 5- week workshop led by local oil painter 
SYDNEY HALL. This workshop was held at the SLO Art Museum 
(SLOMA) and highlights the students ability rather than 
disability. Black Market Trio will be performing music live at this
fine event.

As a cooperative effort between the the Central Coast Autism 
Spectrum Center (CCASC), the SLOMA, and Catlayst Consulting 
a portion of the proceeds generated from Art and ticket 
sales will be contributing to the SLO Art Musuems Capital 
Campaign for a new building as well as for CCASC to fund 
additional programming, events, & awareness for those on 
the Spectrum. Tickets can be purchased as an in kind 
donation to the event and efforts. 

This event will kick off the Annual WALK for Autism & 
Awareness Fair May 7th in the Mission Plaza.
