Mambo Santa! Tonight at Adelina's Bistro with Black Market Trio! We'll add in a few holiday season cheer numbers and of course play a mix of exotica, mambo, salsa, and latin-jazz favorites. Bring your friends and enjoy a couple of cocktails in the fireside lounge!

Bring your dancing shoes...Black Market Trio returns, with special guest Darrell Voss on vibraphone & bongos, and we'll be performing fun mambo, tango, cha cha cha, and, you guessed it BOOGALOO (BUGALU) music!! 

Our last two shows at Bang the Drum were packed with dancers and the beer garden was standing room only. Let's see if we can pack the joint again! Invite and bring along all your fun and sexy people!
 

BMT returns to Adelina's Bistro in Nipomo 

We'll be performing again at the contemporary yet relaxed Adelina’s Bistro, where you'll enjoy regional cuisine made fresh daily using the best local, organic produce. The sophisticated and fun atmosphere encourages new friendships and lively music, and the food will delight all palettes. 

Adelina's Bistro is located a quick drive from Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, and Nipomo and set within The Monarch Club at Trilogy Monarch Dunes. They've got a great bar, local wines, and we'll be performing our usual fare of Cuban, Afro, Latin, and maybe even a boogaloo.

Black Market Trio makes our first appearance in Nipomo at Adelina's Bistro at Trilogy Resort on June 15, 2016 from 7PM - 9PM. You won't want to miss this elegant setting, right by the golf course, with outstanding staff, great view, with an excellent bar, a wonderful bistro with outstanding pizza and other fine menu items. You can definitely get your Wednesday moxie going with a martini at Adelina's and Black Market Trio! We'll provide additional acoustical atmosphere for the occasion.

For a serious pairing of Havana cool and Paso wine, join Black Market Trio at Niner Estates for their "Harvest Wine Party" this Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 1 - 4PM. Black Market Trio, featuring Joe Duran, Scott Andrews, and Sean Sullivan, will bring you music that used to be standard nooner fare, but today is considered "rare" exotic" and "world-infused" ahh.. the glory days of 1958-62. 

You'll enjoy Black Market Trio, performing music from Morocco, Egypt, Brazil, Cuba, and a little mother ship funk for extra fun.

Black Market Trio - Live at Hearst Castle for San Luis Obispo International Film Festival Citizen Kane Special Screening 

Black Market Trio is the featured music for the arrival of guests for the special screening of "Citizen Kane" - shown for the first time ever at Hearst Castle! This is a special event for the San Luis Obispo International Film Festval. We are thrilled to be a part of this event!

THIS SATURDAY: Come join us Saturday, August 10, 2013, from Noon to 3PM for week five of Court Street Summer Jazz - Osos & Higuera, UPSTAIRS BY Sephora and Pottery Barn in San Luis Obispo!

Come hear Black Market Trio take you on a tour around the world. With an unusual instrumentation of sax, congas/bongo kit, and bass, Black Market Trio covers a range of material from Ellington (Harlem Nocturne, In A Sentimental Mood), cool jazz of the 50's (Eighty-One, Tom Thumb) through Exotica & Bossa Nova (Lust, Girl From Ipanema, Desafinado, Corcovado, Mas Que Nada, etc.) and cocktail era (Fever, The Look of Love) to the present, with their own original funk jazz songs (Lizard People, Give Some to Get Some).

The "warm havana nights" sound of Scott Andrews' sizzlin' saxophone, Joe Duran's cookin' bass, and Abe Robles' smokin' hot bongo and conga drums fill the air with a headstrong and cool confidence. You know you have heard many of these songs before...back in the days when martini's were standard nooner fare... but have you heard them played like this?

It's a whole new re-imagined sound, the playing especially gentle yet fiery, the counterpoint deft and delicate, the sound so damn "cool" that you have to call it that, recreated in a trio form - minimalist style - by three masterful musicians who swing, funk, and pound out a conga dance like no other within miles from the Central Coast of California.
